Yaqui Hideout Lavender Farm is an ideal place to experience the beauty of southeastern Arizona. The high desert offers dramatic skies, breathtaking sunsets, and year-round birding, with owls, hawks, roadrunners, Sandhill cranes in winter, and many other species. Nearby attractions include Cochise Stronghold, Chiricahua National Monument, and wine tasting in Willcox, all within about 30 minutes. Bisbee and Tombstone are within about an hour, and the area-attractions links on this site offer more ideas. Our Bunkhouse is well suited for an overnight getaway or layover, and both the lodging and our animals’ paddocks are located within a four-acre compound enclosed by a 10-foot wall.

At Yaqui Hideout Lavender Farm, we grow four lavender varieties: Grosso, Giant Hidcote, Provence, and Bridget Chole. Our small retail area in the weaving studio offers a selection of lavender personal-care and culinary products.

Warning: As with many herbs, lavender is not recommended for women who are pregnant or nursing.

Bob is Yaqui Hideout’s resident fiber artist, with 16 years of experience creating and teaching basketry. He is a member of the Basket Artisans of Arizona and the Bisbee Fiber Arts Guild, and he now divides his time between weaving baskets and creating textiles on looms.

His handmade baskets, rag rugs, and tea towels are available for sale, with selections changing as his latest projects evolve.
